I found design through lab research
I recently graduated from UCLA, where I studied Cognitive Science/Computer Science and did undergraduate research in education technology. I saw first-hand the ability of meaningful interfaces in accelerating insight in our user subjects. For me, interaction design was first the facilitation of expertise and later the pursuit of aesthetic.

I'm working on my universe dent
My visual design exists to support great ideas. From being a solo designer on large teams early on, I learned to utilize style to push forward vision. The motifs around my work and passion projects have centered around mobile form-factors, knowledge delivery & contextualization, and making the web/real-life each work more like the other.
Academic Research
Cognitive Atlas
UCLA Center for Computational Biology
I helped create a web tool that discovers and maps correlated studies in separate domains of neuroscience research.
Visual Cognition
UCLA Learning Technology Lab
I built simple apps that study the ways visual interfaces can induce perceptual expertise in unfamiliar domains.
Hypercities
UCLA Academic Technology Center
I was a UX dev intern for an augmented - reality web app using Google GIS data to recreate historical city spaces.
